Terms of Service
Effective August 12, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Lucie (“we”, “us”) for your use of Lucie Sync. By creating an account, connecting a calendar, or booking a meeting through a Lucie booking page, you agree to them. How we handle your data is covered separately in our Privacy Policy.
What Lucie Sync is
Lucie Sync is a scheduling tool. It reads your connected calendars to work out when you are free, publishes a booking page at your @handle, coordinates group scheduling, and creates calendar events when meetings are booked. It can also answer availability questions and book meetings on your behalf when you connect it to an AI assistant.
It is a coordination layer, not a party to your meetings. The meetings you schedule, what is said in them, and whether anyone turns up are between you and the people you meet.
This is a beta
Lucie Sync is early software, offered by invitation while in beta. Features will change, some will be removed, and things will occasionally break. We do not promise any level of uptime, and we may change or discontinue any part of the service.
We will give account holders reasonable notice by email before discontinuing the service entirely or making a change that would materially reduce what you have paid for.
Your account
You need to be at least 16 to use Lucie Sync. Give accurate information when you sign up, keep your login credentials to yourself, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
Your @handle is yours while your account is active. We may reclaim handles that impersonate someone else, infringe a trademark, or sit unused on an abandoned account.
Connecting a calendar
When you connect a calendar you confirm you are allowed to connect it. If it belongs to an employer or is governed by someone else's IT policy, that is between you and them — please make sure you have permission before connecting a work account.
You grant us permission to access that calendar only as needed to run the service: reading event times to compute your availability, and creating, updating or cancelling the events booked through Lucie. You can withdraw that permission at any time by disconnecting the calendar in Settings.
Bookings, and what we don't guarantee
Scheduling software depends on things outside our control — calendar providers, email delivery, and your own settings. We try hard to get availability right, and we deliberately stop offering times when we cannot verify your calendar rather than guess. Even so:
- We do not guarantee that every booking will be created, delivered, or reflected on your calendar.
- We do not guarantee that reminders or notification emails arrive.
- We do not guarantee that a slot shown as free is genuinely free, particularly if a calendar connection has expired or a calendar provider is having problems.
Treat your calendar as the source of truth for your commitments, and confirm anything that matters.
Plans and billing
Sync Free costs nothing and includes unlimited bookings and 3 group events per month.
Sync Pro is a paid monthly subscription that removes the group event limit and unlocks agent scheduling. Payment is processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled.
You can cancel any time from your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for — you keep Pro access until then, and you are not charged again. We do not give refunds for partial months, but if something has gone genuinely wrong, write to us and we will sort it out.
Founding price. If you subscribe at the founding price while it is offered, that rate stays fixed for as long as your subscription remains active and uncancelled, even after the standard price rises. If we change pricing otherwise, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email, and the new price applies from your next billing period.
Acceptable use
Don't use Lucie Sync to:
- Send spam, harass anyone, or book meetings with people who don't want to hear from you.
- Flood booking pages with fake bookings, or work around the rate limits that protect hosts' calendars and inboxes.
- Scrape the service, or gather hosts' availability at scale for any purpose other than actually booking a meeting.
- Impersonate anyone, or claim an @handle in order to pass yourself off as someone else.
- Probe, break, or work around our security or access controls, or try to reach data that isn't yours.
- Break the law, or infringe anyone's rights.
Automated and AI-agent access is welcome — that is what the agent endpoint is for. Use it as documented rather than by scraping pages, and the same rules above apply to anything your agent does on your behalf.
Suspension and ending your account
You can stop using Lucie Sync and delete your account at any time.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that is being used to harm someone, or where we are required to by law. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why and give you a chance to put it right first. If we close your account without cause and you have paid for Pro, we will refund the unused portion.
Who owns what
You keep everything that is yours: your calendar data, your profile, your bookings. You grant us only the permission needed to operate the service for you, as described above and in the Privacy Policy.
We keep everything that is ours: the Lucie Sync software, our name, our branding, and the way the product works. These terms don't give you rights over any of that beyond using the service as intended.
If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them to improve the product without owing you anything for it.
Provided as-is
Lucie Sync is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or missed opportunities — including any arising from a meeting that was missed, double-booked, or never created.
Our total liability for any claim relating to Lucie Sync is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars.
Some jurisdictions don't allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Indemnity
If your use of Lucie Sync — including anything your AI agent does on your behalf — causes a claim against us by someone else, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of defending it, provided the claim isn't caused by our own wrongdoing.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will update the effective date above and notify account holders by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Lucie Sync after that means you accept the new terms; if you don't, stop using the service and cancel any subscription.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in California. If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction with laws that give you the right to bring proceedings locally, this doesn't take that right away.
If any part of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce something straight away, that isn't a waiver of our right to do so later.
